This is our field work page. We include our model chinampa, but we do have a few location infested with algae. Algae pictures will be explained as we add them over time throughout our field work.
These are various spots around the reservoir that held algae which makes this a great place to work. When we go to the reservoir, we collect some of the Algae
Update on 5/16/15
On 3/28/15 we went to the reservoir # 3 and we checked out our chinampa. We noticed that the water where the daphnia was there was no algae all clear. Our teacher Mr. Naatus took a sample of the water and we noticed that there was something small that was moving. We looked close and there was baby daphnia in the bottle. We thought that the daphnia didn't survive the whole winter but they did. WE believe that the adult daphnia laid eggs and the eggs were able to survive during the winter. So know we won't have to put in daphnia every spring.
